Don't fall in love with a pirate
(Linja Meller)

One cold rainy day,
I lost my way, ran away…
Found a man by the sea,
he was me, I was him…

I’d like to be his pirate queen
I’d like to be his love and dream
I’d like to be his heart of gold
I’d like to be…but don’t, don’t, don’t, never fall in love with a pirate!

Of course she fell in love with him,
with breast and bone
and heart and skin,
she lost her mind her hair her knees,
but the pirate king had a bad desease:

he wasn’t used to love and wife,
to fidelity and happy life
a sailor’s pride is the sea,
oh bloody pirate why can’t it be me?

Ohoh my sweet little babe
dream your sorrows away!
Ohohhohohoh Ohohhohohoh
Never fall in love with a pirate!

So the only way to be with him
was to get part of the ship
with bone and skin.
Together they sailed
through wind and storm,
the maiden love-stoned,
her home forelorn.

But one day she was
fed up with fish
wrinkled, disgusting,
she got a deep deep wish:
[fish solo]
she left the boat,
found clothes and food,
kissed the pirate
and killed him rude{ly}
